Bridge Ministry
About The BridGe Ministry
The Bridge Ministry exists to guide 5th and 6th graders as they begin to explore the deeper "why" behind the theological truths of the Christian faith. We aim to help students take ownership of their beliefs and grow in a personal relationship with the Lord. Through intentional teaching and the introduction of foundational spiritual disciplines—such as prayer, Scripture, and worship—we equip students to take meaningful next steps in their faith journey, no matter where they’re at. These practices lay the groundwork for a resilient, Christ-centered life as they navigate the seasons ahead.
Wednesday Nights:
The FBC Bridge Ministry is for 5th and 6th graders and meets weekly at 6:00 PM, right after our family dinner. Students head to the Kids Wing for a fun, intentional evening of worship, teaching, small groups, and games.
Our time together is designed to help students grow spiritually and relationally. Teaching is rooted in Scripture and explores the core truths of the Christian faith while encouraging honest questions and discussion.
Led by trusted leaders, small groups provide a safe space to apply biblical truths, share openly, and receive encouragement. Whether students are new to faith or growing in it, our goal is to help each one take the next step in their spiritual journey—developing a lasting faith rooted in truth, centered on Christ, and lived with purpose.
Sunday Mornings:
Following the conclusion of our Sunday service, Bridge Ministry students (5th and 6th graders) gather together for a dedicated time of discipleship and connection. These sessions provide a meaningful opportunity to dive deeper into God’s Word, engage in thoughtful discussion around the Sunday sermon, and ask questions that help them wrestle with the truths of Scripture in an age-appropriate and supportive environment.
Each week, students are encouraged to explore how biblical teaching applies to their everyday lives, laying the foundation for personal ownership of their faith. In addition to spiritual growth, these gatherings also foster intentional community—building Christ-centered friendships and mentoring relationships that point our preteens toward Jesus and help them feel known, valued, and supported during this formative stage of life.
